  16. SYMPTOMS

  19. You may experience data corruption when you use TCP/IP. This only
  20. occurs if a reserved, six-bit range in the packet header is used by an
  21. application. If any of these bits are set to one, Windows NT TCP/IP
  22. miscalculates the length of the data in the packet by several bytes.

  27. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
  28. Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S.
  29. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. For
  30. information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in
